The Sumner County Museum is the perfect place to bring your students to learn all about local history. Guided tours must be scheduled in advance. Tours typically last between forty-five minutes and one hour. The museum is set in chronological order and includes the Native American history of the area, longhunters, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, gunsmithing, major wars, home life in the 1800’s, transportation, farming, entertainment and music. If you are also interested in touring Trousdale Place, please let us know and we can make that request to its governing body. For more information, please email email@example.com
This program is a great way to introduce young students to Sumner County history through our exhibits, stories, and hands-on learning opportunities.
This hands-on presentation brings the museum to the classroom. The museum is currently in the process of relaunching this once popular program.
